Harc on NW grid on Lancaster and couple of other nodes trying to get some MPIg runs

HARC working at Daresbury

SB: Config bit restricted at minute.

SB: Problem with port forwarding for MPIg

Item 4

Lightpaths

HECToR Lightpath connection.

SB: Port forwarding thing can only plug in to one external interface. Meaning that you'd have to terminate the lightpath in the router.

Don't have to hack around with binaries. SB will play with it.

SM: PDIO- get data off back end nodes on XT3 and XT4. Will pass information on.

SM: Connection to hospital pushed back by building work in hospital

SM: MPIg on NGS2. -basically working.

Have done some runs on Manchester and Leeds.

Oxford need to get it finished off.

SB: Is this publicly available, because need a test site.

SB: Official release of MPIg will be available really soon.

MM: Done some stuff to hemelb

SZ: Java GUI developed for Viz

MM: Still trying to improve the ray tracer over the next few weeks, then hope to finalise the software

Item 7:

RP: NW-Grid; Plan to connect up the back end nodes to the optical network interconnect between the sites.

SM: SM, MM, PVC will meet with clinicians to get some clinical data to look at. Want to look at real life case studies.

Item 8:

RH: Security in ReG - need to deal with security in different situations, on and off the grid.

Want to create a plugable security model.

ReG has registry of applications and so does AHE. Want to merge registries and containers etc, to try and reduce installation load. Not going to be implementing for a couple of months.

Item 9:

TeraGrid 08 due end of Feb. Going to be submitting a paper for that.
