[edit] LONI and LSU Infrastructure

LONI (Louisiana Optical Network Initiative) and LSU are partners in the GENIUS project and will provide hardware resources and person time to enable HemeLB to effectively utilise LONI's distributed infrastructure. Each LONI site will have two machines connected to the network - a Dell Intel Linux Cluster and a IBM P5. The IBM P5's are mostly in place (with Neptune to be made available soon); most of the Dell Linux clusters will be in place by autumn, Queen Bee (50 TFlop, Dell cluster) will be available by Jan. 2008, and also should be 50% allocated through TegaGrid by Jan. 2008.
